// We sometimes see a ghostly version of a full moon during non-full-moon phases because of "earthshine" - the reflection of sunlight off the earth illuminating the moon's ground. The dark face of the Moon catches Earth’s reflected glow and returns that light.

// Ever think of the kind of love affair that mangrove forests have with the sea?

The roots of these plants
twist in fantastical patterns,
welcoming the rise and fall of saltwater tides,
teasing the slow movement of tidal waters through their tangled branches, creating space for sediments to settle,

and
in this exchange,
build a swampy ground that welcomes shelter and protection for millions of species. //
